Samantha Pleet is an independent family-run fashion brand that is focused on bringing real magic into the world through an ever evolving collection of supernatural clothing. Founded in NYC in 2007 by its namesake designer, Samantha Pleet joined forces with her architect husband Patrick Pleet in 2012 to take the brand to mystical new heights. Together they conjure garments that are thoroughly contemporary while directly referencing the history of art and design that is their passion, drawing clear connections between our past and present. When Samantha's meticulous attention to fabric quality and her armour inspired garment construction were combined with Patrick's otherworldly prints drawn from art history, an emergent magical quality appeared and has been the North Star for the brand.
The Samantha Pleet Design studio, office, fulfillment center, photo studio and shop is currently located under one small roof on Main Street in the village of Chatham in upstate NY. From this base in the Hudson Valley designs are coordinated with our manufacturing partners in Delhi, India who are also a small family business that have been working with the brand since 2018. Styles are limited to runs of 30-50 pieces and all garments are produced in the most ethical way possible in fair trade factories, using materials that have the least impact on the earth. Since the quantity is very limited and the work is of the highest quality, so much is put into each piece by the most skilled artisans, Samantha Pleet garments truly are made to be treasured.
